Frequently Asked Questions
Who is the ideal WineryHunt member?
WineryHunt was designed for adventurous wine lovers who are eager to spend a full year exploring Sonoma County's many winegrowing regions. Our members live within driving distance of wine country and have a deep love for learning about and exploring California wine.
What is the cost to be a member?
The cost is $75 per member. Members are not charged anything in addition to the initial yearly membership fee.
How will I prove I am a WineryHunt Member?
Membership cards are mailed to members soon after purchase. This card can be shown at the featured wineries to receive waived tastings and discounts. Each winery will also be given a list of club members in case you forget your card.
How many wines are on each flight?
Each winery determines the number of wines to pour to WineryHunt members. The vast majority are offering their full normal flight (usually 4-6 wines), with the average flight being $15-$20 (comped for members of course)
When can I visit the Featured Wineries?
In 2021 members can visit our featured wineries anytime during their normal open hours anytime in the year. This a departure from our 2020 model, which required a visit just in one featured month.
How many people is a membership good for?
Each cardholding member receives one tasting flight (4-7 wines) at each participating winery. You certainly may let your +1 sample from your flight, but that person will also need to be a cardholding member to receive their own personal flight.
How do I learn about the Featured Wineries?
Full details of the wineries are shown on the website. We also highlight all featured wineries on social media and in periodic emails to members.
When did WineryHunt start?
WineryHunt began in 2017 with WineryHunt Oregon, followed by WineryHunt Washington in 2019 and Sonoma in 2020! WineryHunt is operated from the Pacific Northwest by Vinbound Marketing.
What caliber of wineries are Featured?
We are intent on featuring Sonoma wineries that offer exceptional wines, warm hospitality and polished tasting room experiences. The featured wineries were chosen by merit and did not pay to be part of this program.
